This page explains how users of the VDM (Vadavalli Devangar Matrimonial) mobile app and website (www.vadavallidevangarmatrimonial.com) can request deletion of their account and associated personal data. This service is provided by P.T. Ventures, the developer listed on Google Play for VDM.

Option 1 — Delete from the app / website (recommended)

1. Log in to your VDM account on the app or website.
2. Go to Settings → Deactivate Account.
3. Enter your registered mobile number and type DEACTIVATE to confirm.
4. Your profile will be hidden immediately and your account will be deactivated.

Option 2 — Request permanent account & data deletion

To permanently delete your VDM account and personal data (not just deactivate), email us from your registered email address or include your registered mobile number:

• Subject line: VDM Account Deletion Request
• Include: Registered mobile number, full name, and reason (optional)
• Phone support: 9894602422

We will verify your identity and process permanent deletion within 30 days. You will receive a confirmation email once completed.

What data is deleted

When your VDM account is permanently deleted, we remove or anonymize, where applicable:

• Profile details (name, birth date, education, family, horoscope, preferences)
• Profile photos, horoscope documents, and uploaded ID proofs
• Contact details (phone, email, WhatsApp)
• Messages, interests, shortlists, and in-app activity linked to your account
• Login credentials and app notification tokens

Data we may retain

Certain records may be kept for a limited period where required by law, fraud prevention, or dispute resolution (for example payment/invoice records, abuse reports, or security logs). Such data is not used for marketing and is deleted or anonymized when no longer legally required.
